Mission 1 : the war begins
California March 30, 2030
As I watched the sky turn dark I only had one thing left in my mind , war . I knew it was coming , but I was not sure what , or when . I was not so sure if I am , or was , ready . All I knew was I had to be prepared .
It has only been 3 months of training , but is that enough ? I mean , I knew how to hold a gun and shoot . But that's all I knew besides throw a grenade or a knife , but the one thing I learned to achieve most at is reloading the ammunition. I was walking around training camp on a lunch break waiting for target practice to start again . Training camp was a huge military island covered by trees and lakes . As I began to walk back to check what time it was , a soldier suddenly shouted “Hostiles have landed on the island !”
Suddenly the ground under my feet . Could it have been a mine , or
a grenade ? Then as I lifted myself up , I heard a “POP” ! As I raised my head up, I saw a wall of smoke in front of me . Then a missile exploded in front of me about ten yards away . I took a few steps back until a soldier shouts in a panicking voice “Head back to base!”I grabbed my AK-47 and a bag of supplies . I rushed past trees and fallen soldiers who had been blown up by missiles or shot to death . Along the way , I could here the shrieks of soldiers who have been severely wounded and the explosions knocking over trees behind me.
I was knocked over by a missile behind me about five to ten feet away. I could feel the rush of blood pouring like weights on my face and hands , but I had to keep moving . So I picked up my AK-47 and supplies , and bolted towards the door of the secret base , that was not much of a secret anymore .
There were guards in front of the door to keep enemy hostiles from entering the secret base . I rushed past the guards and into the doorway and threw a grenade at the enemy hostiles which only a few were eliminated . As I ran through the hallway, I heard hostiles screaming in pain for parts of their bodies were missing or as trees fell upon them while they burned to death .
The base, A.K.A. the emergency back-up base, had steel walls so the bullets could repel off of it , and the building was about the size of the Pentagon and was about ten feet tall . The buildings consists of three rooms: Section A was for target practice , which was once daily , Section C is the armory containing ammunition , supplies , and weapons , and Section B , my destination , is where we settled until back-up arrives , which is nearly thirty miles away .
As I ran down the hallway , trying to reach my destination , the doors of the base behind me collapsed . Hostile soldiers shot at me , and what seemed like every step I took , the bullets zipped past me and made a “clink” on the wall . Thanks to security guards, there was a sentry gun that was automated to eliminate entering hostiles . Unfortunately , the automatic door was about to slide down to a close right in front of me .
Just as the door was about five feet off the ground , I could feel the sweat drizzle down my face like raindrops and heard myself silently pray “Please God , don’t let me be too late!” So now the door was three feet off the ground . I ran like a bolt of lightning , dropped to the floor , and slid on the cold steel under the door, so close that my fingers barely made it by an inch as the door dropped to the ground .
Now came my last objective , survive . About fifty to sixty soldiers on the other side of the room pointed machine guns , barricading the door I came from To eliminate the hostiles . Behind them was a door that was an exit to the back , where the aircraft landing sight was . We evacuated through there in case of emergencies like these .
“The air support will be here any minute , so take out any hostiles when the door has been breached !” shouted the commander . “No survivors! Kill them all !” Suddenly , there was a repeated “clink” of gunfire repelling off of the door . But after what seemed to be ten seconds , all became silent . After the room became quiet , a soldier walked to the door and rested his ear upon it to listen , and herd a faint sound .
“Beep...Beep...Beep” . With a panicking voice , the soldier yelled “Turn back !”
He rushed towards the other side of the room but was too late . The burst open with a loud “BOOM!” and sent the soldier flying across the room . What seemed like thousands of bullets shooting like lightning at us scattered around the room from the hostiles . A soldier shouted “Deploying gas!” and threw a can of gas at the hostiles , and the can exploded in a mist of poisonous gas . I could hear the enemy screech in pain as the poisonous gas vaporized in their lungs . Soon enough , the commander shouted “The transports are ready! Open the back door and get to the transports!”
All soldiers , including me , grabbed their weapons and headed towards the back door . As I ran to the door , I could see the soldier who flew from the explosion from the front door covered in deep red blood , and metal shards dug into his flesh .
We reached outside about thirty feet from the landing site . We ran through the bullets zipping behind us . Trees toppled from explosions and hostile air support attacked us from all sides . I turned around to try to get in a few shots with my AK-47 . So I equipped my weapon with a 3x optical scope and rapidly shot , wounding and killing ten enemies . With every shot I took , blobs of blood erupted from the hostiles’ bodies . When I ran out of ammo , I sprinted towards the helicopter , thinking “Almost there.”
The helicopter was hovering over a cliff of the island , withstanding bullets shooting at it . The commander was already onboard along with five soldiers . They shouted at me “Hurry , or you will be left behind!” As I ran to the helicopter , I noticed in fear hostile air support launching missiles at me . I rushed as if a tornado was chasing me , and I could only do one thing : jump .
As soon as I hit the edge of the island , I stretched out my legs and jumped with one hand held out in front of me to catch the grip of the helicopter door . Unfortunately , an explosion erupted behind me and forced me forwards , pushing me above the water . It was a fifty foot drop to the water . As I fell into the water , I didn’t think I would make it alive . But somehow I managed to survive . However , the commander wasn’t as lucky . The aircraft was torn apart , chunks of its metal missing . As the aircraft plunged into the water , I noticed soldiers soldiers trying to struggle out of their seats .
I swam to them , grabbed my pocket knife , and sliced off the safety belts . Struggling to keep my breath , I looked around for the commander , but what I saw was not what I hoped to see . His legs were blown into shreds , his guts were hanging from his legs . He never would’ve made it out , and I was starting to lose my breath .
I began to swim as fast as I my muscles could breath , but I was too late . My skin grew cold , my body felt weak ,and I started to sink. Blinding darkness filled my eyes . The last voices I remember was a soldier calling for help , and another saying “He’s gonna be okay.” Luckily , I survived .
The soldiers and I were stuck on a spit of land for three weeks . Supplies were growing short , we found very little that we could drink , and food became a serious problem . We each had one meal a day and no drinks at night . Fortunately , one of the soldiers found a back-up machine for us to contact the military . They sent an air transport to rescue us . However , they sent us straight to our next mission in Washington , D.C. The mission was to guard the president from enemy spies or terrorists entering the White House , planning to capture him .

ReplyDeleteWhen you said as fast as your muscles could breathe, did you mean your lungs, because they do the breathing and the muscles are what kept you going.
