As a few months past I started watching concerts on t.v of bands like , Linkin Park , Breaking Benjamin , and Evanescence . Soon enough I began enjoying music so much I asked my parents to buy me a drum set for Christmas , they agreed and bought me one .
My name is N8 people call me that just cause I like it , My skill is the drums , and sort of the acoustic guitar , things I could not live with out , friends family and rock music or metal .
OK , so people wonder , why do you want to play the drums ? what inspired you ? To tell u the truth , this my inspiration . Just think for a moment what could be better than being in front of millions of people playing your own music , and being on magazine or CD case.
Its not money that’s my interest , its fame , performing , showing off your skills , and showing people who u really are , not what others think .Over the 3 years I have been drumming I have gone through a lot of sacrifices and pain . most of my pain I had was moving my drums around the house because my neighbors next door to my house say that , my drumming is driving them “batty” . Do you take that as a compliment ? Is that not rude ? Would that make you mad ? I’ll tell you , I was furious as well as my parents were . As for sacrifices well , I had to keep buying money for sound proof . Now some say that its easy trying to put replaced walls on your house , OK what if you are trying to sell it ? Not easy , lot of stress and hard to not make a single mess up . Although I still play drums even though the neighbors complain , I never let that slip away , enough to not have me play the drums anymore .
You know the best part of getting cool stuff for your drums ? shopping ! Well sort of . But I will say this , drum supplies are not cheap . anything u want under ten dollars will only get you drum sticks , cymbal spray , or drum clips and hardware about the size of your thumb.
Although it is really expensive well , its usually really awesome equipment like , cymbals , toms (cylinders around the drums) , or even cowbells wood blocks or tambourines , because with music sound is everything.
One of my other things I like about the drums is playing music from other bands or making your own music , especially drum solos . The music I mostly play is Breaking Benjamin , mostly because I like the band and love the way the drummer of that band uses different techniques around the drum set .
So here comes the real question , how did I learn to play drums and learn the techniques ? My training is one , i play any music by ear because i can usually hear what is being hit because I am use to the sound and know how it sounds . two because I play different sort of music so I can try out different accents , three i make different accents on my own or random drum beats .
Out of all the years of playing drums it has never been a regret and I wish to be on stage in the future playing in a band as a drummer .
You broke the meaning of drumming down. Awsomee ☻

Wow, I really didn't know a lot about drumming. Nice job of making it clear to someone who knows so little about it like me. Making your piece personal was a great decision, as it make it easier to understand.
ReplyDeleteAnd I like Breaking Benjamin, too. They're awesome!
Thats really cool dude i play a little drums. I'm not too good but i do it here and there. :)
ReplyDeleteFirst of all I do take the neighbors comment as a compliment, next where do you normally go for the drum equipment, and lastly who got you into Breaking Benjamin
ReplyDeleteI love the way you describe how you learn to play.
ReplyDeleteI really love how you said that money dosen't hold your interest its the fame. I always dream of people looking up on stage at me. I really want to learn the drums but my parents to become a pro at the bass and guitar before they will buy me drums. It sounds like you really enjoy it, keep it up because some day you will probably be up on stage.
